Community Rowing

Learn to Row & Join Team Dory in Green Bay

Rowing is a fantastic source of fitness and camaraderie that builds team spirit and friendships for those who love being on the water and enjoying the feel of a wooden boat.

A typical evening row will last an hour and cover around 3 miles either up the Fox and back or out into the Bay if weather permits. All safety gear provided including life jackets, but please bring your own water supply. Dress for weather. Open to ages 12 and older.

Community Rowing is a free event but donations are always greatly appreciated. You can click here to learn more about giving.

We meet at Hands On Deck at 5:30 pm on Wednesday evenings throughout the summer. Looking to join? Send us a message below.

All participants are required to sign a waiver, which you can find here.

Team Dory at the Ice Out Regatta

The Community Rowing Program started in 2022 carries over into 2023. Our 2nd annual Ice Out Regatta was held June 24, 2023. The weather was 90 degrees with minimal wind, so instead of competitive racing, we decided to do a leisurely 3 mile row on the Fox River. A last-minute sprint race at the end of the row made for a little bit of competition. This was a fun day with great friends.
